They are non structural. Although they are considered more of a builder grade wrap they are more then strong enough to stand the test of time when installed correctly. Being that they are made out of pvc they are just decorative, you will still need to supply a structural post inside. Our Versatex PVC newel posts are made right here in our factory on Long Island
