It is hand turned on a potters wheel by skilled artists using traditional techniques learnt from their family passed down through generations. The lid finial is shaped like a pair of persimmon. Sang de boeuf was one of a number of new flamb glazes, marked by unpredictable but highly decorative and varying effects. It was first developed in the Jingdezhen porcelain kilns during
